Each piece is individually hand made to order, using only the brightest colours and most unusual beads. Gorgeous printed cottons from Liberty of London's tana lawn collection feature heavily in the range, to make their signature bow tie ribbons. Hayley loves to mix different colours and textures together, for a look that is a fresh, vibrant and truly individual.
Hayley Malcolm, the designer behind the range started designing and hand making the first Handmade by Hayley collection in July 2009. Hayley, who grew up in Lancashire, graduated with a BA(hons) degree in Fashion Design and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University. She now works from her studio at home in Corbridge, Northumberland.
While studying she worked for various high street retailers, gaining experience in jewellery and accessories. Graduating in 2007, Hayley was immediately snapped up to work for Abercrombie and Fitch in America, gaining an insight into how a large brand is run, before returning to the UK to follow her dream.
With only a her savings, bags of enthusiasm and determination, Hayley launched her first collection for Handmade by Hayley in July 2009.
